List of Samsung devices with 4 years of Android updates

    -

Samsung is now the leader in timely software updates, which has helped it secure its top position. While Samsung was initially slow in delivering security updates, it has improved over time and is now the first to promise four years of operating system updates. Today, we will learn which Galaxy devices qualify for these extended updates.

Having the most frequent OS and security updates can make a device more secure for an extended period of time compared to those that receive fewer updates. It's worth noting that several Galaxy Tablets, Galaxy S series, and Galaxy A series smartphones can receive four years of OS updates and five years of security updates. For other Galaxy devices, the update frequency may vary depending on the device category, with some receiving fewer than four years of updates.

List of Samsung Galaxy devices will receive 4 Android and One UI updates

Specifically, certain Galaxy S smartphones released after the Galaxy S21 series (inclusive), some Galaxy A smartphones launched after Galaxy A33 and A53 devices (inclusive), as well as the most recent Galaxy Z foldable and Galaxy Tab models, will receive four generations of Android updates starting from the version they were launched with.
