YouTube to Discontinue Stories Feature in the Coming Month

Starting from June 26, YouTube will no longer support the Stories feature, signifying its gradual phasing out. Any YouTube Stories shared on that day will automatically expire after seven days. In a related community post, YouTube indicates that the removal of Stories is driven by their commitment to prioritize YouTube Shorts and Community posts.

According to YouTube, Community posts are ideal for sharing quick updates and fostering discussions among followers, while Shorts have proven to generate higher traffic and attract more subscribers compared to Stories. Originally introduced as Reels in 2017, the feature was later rebranded as Stories a year later.
