Unveiling of the Moto E30, a Moto E40 with Android Go Edition

    -

Is there a Moto E30 in the works? The Moto E20 and the Moto E40 have already been released. Motorola Slovakia's website and Aldi in Belgium both have the Moto E30 in stock. The hardware of this phone is nearly identical to that of the E40, with a few notable exceptions.

A similar version of Android 11 Go, the E20 has 2 GB of RAM and 32 gigabytes onboard storage. But that's about the only thing they have in common.

Full-fledged Android can be found on the Motorola Moto E30, thanks to its Unisoc T700 chipset (though it has the benefit of 4 GB of RAM). Furthermore, this isn't the end of it. E30 and E40 display screens run at 90Hz, while E30 and E40 have 6.5″ displays with 720p+ resolution (20:9).

Rear-facing cameras are equipped with an 8MP sensor and an F/1.8 aperture. Even though it doesn't sound amazing, no other Go edition phones come close. The video resolution is 1080p and the frame rate is 30 frames per second.

The back of the phone has two additional cameras, a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth camera. Selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor and is hidden inside a punch hole, which is more intriguing. In comparison to the E20, that's quite fancy (and it has an additional 5 megapixel camera to boot).

In addition, the phone has a 5,000 mAh battery with “more than 40 hours” of battery life, according to the manufacturer's specifications. As a result, it can only deliver a maximum of 10W of charging power.

Additionally, there are 3.5 mm headphone jack and water-resistant design on the rear of the phone (IP52). There is a 198g weight to the phone's plastic casing.

The E30 has only 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. A microSD card can be used to alleviate the latter issue, as it has its own slot on the card tray and can accommodate two nano-SIM cards.

4G phone with Wi-Fi b/g (2.4 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. However, NFC is missing from this model (as does the E40). GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo are supported for positioning.

According to Aldi Belgium, the Moto E30 costs €100 but isn't listed on Motorola's official Slovakian website. However, it doesn't appear to be available. Aside from that, the E20 costs €100 (the E40 costs €140) in Europe, so there may be a price movement or regional price differences.
