The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE Gets the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Upgrade

Mi 11 Lite 5G NE is basically a Mi 11 Lite 5G with a different chipset, the Snapdragon 778 G instead of the Snapdragon 780 G. It was recently released alongside the 11T series. For the time being, we don’t know if the chip crisis or cost considerations are to blame for this.

However, other from the SoC, the two devices are nearly identical. For the 11 Lite 5G, we’re talking about MIUI 12.5 Enhanced, a new update.

Xiaomi has yet to release an Android 12 upgrade for any of its smartphones, so it’s still running Android 11. While it is expected that MIUI 12.5 Enhanced will solve all of the flaws and make everything smoother all around, it is also expected to do much behind-the-scenes work to make the MIUI 12.x generation even better.

New algorithms in MIUI 12.5 Enhanced dynamically allocate system resources to ensure smooth operation, while a new ultra-fine “atomized” memory management technique will make RAM usage more efficient, and “new sensitive storage mechanisms” will ensure the phone remains responsive as time goes by.

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE is presently receiving the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update in India and Turkey, with version numbers V12.5.4.0.RKOINXM and V12.5.4.0.RKOTRXM, respectively. It is expected that the rollout will be staged and may take a few days, or perhaps weeks, to reach all devices in these markets. There is a good chance that Xiaomi will release the European model soon.
