On December 17th, GameStop will begin selling PlayStation 5 system combos in-store

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is going on sale exclusively at GameStop on December 17th, according to the retailer’s announcement. GameStop’s Pro membership is $14.99 a year, but is presently discounted to $9.99 if you add it to your cart during the restock event. As of this writing, more than 700 GameStop locations are listed on the company’s website. However, GameStop has stated that there will be a limited number of tickets available.

Around 60 disc-based PS5 bundles are expected to be available at participating GameStop stores. There will be a PlayStation 5 console included, as well as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut, a third-party DualSense charging station, and an additional Sony DualSense controller. A $50 GameStop gift card may also be included in some retailers. The Xbox Series X is also slated to have an event of this nature on December 23, according to Swider.

Sony’s PlayStation 5 is still difficult to obtain despite its release more than a year ago. One of the last remaining chances to get a PS5 in time for the Christmas holiday if you’ve been missing out on recent online console restocks from GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, and other sellers. Because GameStop exclusively sells new consoles in bundles, you should not pay more than the MSRP, but you could pay as much as $700 or $800 depending on the accessories that are packed with it.
