Recently, an invitation to a new Honor announcement event has appeared on the Internet. The banner reads “NONOR New Product Launch” with the tag line “Ready To Go Beyond” and an 8:30 PM start time. However, there’s no mention of the timezone.
There are rumours that the event will feature a number of budget and mid-range smartphones, and that hints will be made about the Honor X series. There will be three new 5G Honor X7, X8, and X9 models. For those of you in the Middle East and Africa, we already know about the Honor X8.
A 64MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide and two 2MP cameras, and 16MP selfie camera are all on board the X8 if it is indeed the same device. 4,000mAh battery, 22.5W fast charging, and a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging make this a typical 2022 budget to mid-range phone for the time. But we have no information on the X7 or X9 5G.
Honor Magic4 Lite, a purportedly stripped-down version of the Magic4 and Magic4 Pro duo Honor only just presented, may have something to do with one of these leaks.
Even if the Magic4 Lite name sticks, the purported specifications are remarkably similar to the Chinese Honor X30, establishing yet another link to the Honor X series. The Honor X9 5G could very well use a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. An FHD+ LCD display, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage are just some of the other rumored features of the phone. It is also said to have 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and a 4,800mAh battery with 40W fast charging.
Last but not least, we’ve heard speculations that more Honor devices may possibly be unveiled at the March 29 event. A set of underwater wireless earbuds is notable.
