The following information was gleaned from Huawei’s upcoming press release: Derek Yu will serve as Huawei’s Master of Ceremonies for the new product launch event that will be held in Vienna on October 21, starting at 3 PM CET.
Huawei has not announced what it plans to release on October 21, but a photo in our invitation of a smartphone suggests the launch of the P50 series, which was revealed to the Chinese public in July.
The Mate 50 series has reportedly been cancelled, and we say this year’s P50 lineup because of it. But there’s also the likelihood of the Nova 9 making its international debut on September 23. It will be launched in China that day.
There are two P50 variants in the lineup: the base model and the P50 Pro. The Pro variant uses the Kirin 9000 chip, whereas the vanilla version has the Snapdragon 888 SoC in control.
