FIFA has named vivo as the official smartphone of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar

Qatar will host the FIFA World Cup in 2022 in a little under two months. vivo is the official smartphone partner of the Football Association for the second consecutive World Cup.

In honor of FIFA’s 118th birthday, the agreement was revealed yesterday at the global launch of the vivo X Fold+.

The partnership this year will include prominent advertising for vivo, including on the sideline panels, the interview backboard, and other visuals. To “support the successful holding” of the FIFA World Cup, the business has agreed to offer “industry-leading” flagships to the organizing committee.

By working together, vivo will be able to further expand its presence around the world. Since 2014, the company has expanded into more than 60 different areas and countries; with its debut in Qatar, it hopes to attract a global audience of 5 billion, including 400 million active vivo users.

vivo collaborated with both FIFA and UEFA for the upcoming Euro 2020 and the Arab Cup in Qatar last year (that took part in 2021 after it was postponed due to COVID-19).
