Confirmed: Nothing Phone (2) to feature specified screen size, guarantees 3 years of Android updates

    -

A couple of weeks ago, Carl Pei, the founder of Nothing, confirmed some exciting details about the upcoming Phone (2), which is scheduled to launch in July. One of the notable revelations was that the phone would be equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, setting the stage for an exceptional performance.

Adding to the anticipation, Pei recently disclosed that the Nothing Phone (2) will come with a larger battery compared to its predecessor, the Phone (1). With a capacity of 4,700 mAh, the new battery offers a boost of 200 mAh, ensuring extended usage time for users.

Now, building upon these revelations, Nothing has finally unveiled the screen size of the highly anticipated Phone (2). The display of the Phone (2) will be slightly bigger than that of the Phone (1), with a diagonal measurement of 6.7 inches, which is an increase of 0.15 inches. While the resolution of the screen has not been explicitly mentioned by Nothing, it is expected to maintain a Full HD+ resolution similar to the panel of the Phone (1), delivering crisp and vibrant visuals.

In addition to these technical specifications, Nothing has made significant strides in improving the sustainability aspect of the Phone (2). The company proudly announced that the Phone (2) has a reduced carbon footprint of 53.45 kg, which is more than 5 kg less than its predecessor. Moreover, Nothing has prioritized the use of recycled or bio-based components in the Phone (2), incorporating three times more of these environmentally friendly materials compared to the Phone (1). Furthermore, the retail package of the Phone (2) is designed to be plastic-free, further aligning with Nothing's commitment to sustainability.

The Phone (2) will receive three years of Android updates, ensuring that users can enjoy the latest features and enhancements. Additionally, Nothing will provide four years of security updates, giving users peace of mind regarding the protection of their personal information on the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1-powered smartphone.

With each new detail unveiled, the anticipation for the Nothing Phone (2) continues to grow. The combination of impressive specifications, sustainability initiatives, and extended software support positions the Phone (2) as a promising contender in the smartphone market.
