Arrival of the Xiaomi Civi 2 is set for September 27

New Xiaomi Civi models are coming to China. The Xiaomi Civi 2 will be available beginning September 27, the firm announced on Weibo.

The new midranger will look and feel similar to its predecessor in terms of weight and aesthetics. The “Hello Kitty” visage is scheduled to appear on the Civi 2 as a “Trend Partner.”

The island on the back of the Civi 2 will look like the one on the Xiaomi 12 series, and the phone will come with three cameras capable of 50 megapixels each. Behind the larger of the two circles is the main and ultrawide-angle cameras, while the smaller one close to the dual LED flash is almost certainly a 2MP sensor.

Not much is known about the front panel, but the power button clearly sticks out, ruling out the possibility of a fingerprint scanner being installed there. This would indicate that the scanner is hidden beneath an OLED panel at the front. Also, we may expect it to have a refresh rate of at least 120 Hz and a resolution of at least Full HD+, just like the Civi 1S.

We expect further teasers in the days running up to Tuesday’s debut, when the availability and pricing will be announced.
