Apple has Set the Date of its ‘Unleashed’ Event for the 18th of October

This morning, Apple sent out invitations for their upcoming event on Monday, October 18. As is customary, neither the invitations nor the announcement make any allusion to the event’s subject matter.

If past events are any indication, Apple’s ‘Unleashed’ presentation will focus on its Mac computer line. Unveiling of the company’s latest ARM-based M-series processor is the most anticipated announcement.

In addition to the new processor, new Mac models are likely to be released by Apple at the same time. The most likely candidate is a new 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M1 successor, but a new Mac mini has also been mooted as a possibility.

The next-generation Mac Pro is also anticipated to be shown off, if not fully unveiled. After all, Apple announced two years ago that it would finish transitioning to the ARM platform by the end of 2021, and the Mac Pro is the only device in the company’s lineup that does not now have an ARM-based option.

These rumours and theories will likely come to fruition in the next six days, so stay tuned.
