Windows 11 build 22000.376 has been released by Microsoft – here’s what’s new

Patch Tuesday is among us, and you already know what that entails. All Microsoft-supported products are getting an upgrade today, and Windows 11 version 21H2 is no exception. All Patch Tuesday updates are required.

Windows 11 users will see KB5008215, which pushes the build number to 22000.376. There is a link to download it manually, and here are some of the highlights:

  • Updates security for your Windows operating system.

The actual list of fixes doesn’t say much:

  • This update contains miscellaneous security improvements to internal OS functionality. No additional issues were documented for this release.

For whatever reason, Microsoft decided to record a video detailing the changes in this update’s changelog. According to the video, the new Fluent 2D Emojis were introduced to Emoji 13.1 as well. A lot more is in the video than is contained in the changelog itself.

Sadly, this is the norm. This month, Microsoft offers optional C and D week updates that can be installed at any time. The fixes and enhancements will be included in the next Patch Tuesday update if you don’t take advantage of the cumulative nature of updates. As soon as the upgrades are issued, Microsoft begins to discuss what they contain. Patch Tuesday’s changelog, on the other hand, is somewhat vague.

In order to acquire this update, you may either manually install it or check for updates in Windows Update. That doesn’t change the fact that this is an absolutely necessary update. That indicates it will install itself over night at some point. A fresh optional update is expected later this month as usual.

For Windows 10, support for version 2004 has come to an end. It still received its final patch, and as expected, all newer games received patches. If you’re still using version 2004, it’s time to upgrade to a newer version.
