The Xiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra is a budget-friendly flagship phone that offers impressive features and performance.
The Redmi K60 Ultra has a sleek and elegant design with a metal frame and a glass back. It comes in three colors: black, white, and green. The phone has an IP68 rating, which means it is dustproof and waterproof. The back panel houses a triple camera module with a metal dome design that extends downwards. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner under the display.
The display of the Redmi K60 Ultra is one of its main attractions. It is a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2712 x 1220 pixels, which Xiaomi calls 1.5K. The screen has a 144Hz refresh rate and a 480Hz touch sampling rate, which makes it very smooth and responsive. The screen also supports 12-bit color depth, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and 2,600 nits peak brightness. The display quality is excellent, with vivid colors, sharp details, and wide viewing angles.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC, which is a flagship-level processor that can handle any task or game with ease. The phone also has up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, which is very generous for the price. The phone also features a Pixelworks X7 graphics chip that enhances the gaming performance and clarity of the device. The phone scored 1.77 million points on the AnTuTu benchmark, which is very impressive.
The battery of the Redmi K60 Ultra is another strong point of the device. It has a 5,000mAh capacity that can last for more than a day of moderate use. The phone also supports 120W fast charging, which can fully charge the battery in just 19 minutes. The phone uses Xiaomi’s own P1 and G1 chips for fast charging and battery management, which ensure safety and efficiency.
The Redmi K60 Ultra has a decent camera setup for its price range. The main camera is a 50MP Sony IMX800 sensor with OIS and 8K HDR10+ video recording. The secondary camera is an 8MP ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view. The third camera is a 2MP macro lens for close-up shots. The front camera is a 20MP selfie shooter with AI beautification and portrait mode.
The camera performance of the Redmi K60 Ultra is good, but not exceptional. The main camera can capture detailed and colorful photos in good lighting conditions but struggles in low light and dynamic range situations. The ultrawide camera can take wide-angle shots but suffers from distortion and noise at the edges. The macro camera can take close-up shots but lacks autofocus and resolution. The front camera can take decent selfies but tends to smoothen the skin too much.
The software of the Redmi K60 Ultra is MIUI 14 based on Android 13. MIUI 14 is Xiaomi’s custom skin that offers many features and customization options but also comes with some bloatware and ads. MIUI 14 also supports some new features such as floating windows, super wallpapers, a control center, an app drawer, dark mode, and privacy protection.
The Redmi K60 Ultra is currently available only in China, where it starts at CNY2,599 ($355/€325/INR29,910) for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The other variants are priced as follows:
