Tesla, Inc. has been building the Tesla Model X, a midsize luxury crossover, since 2015. Falcon-wing doors allow passengers to get in and out of the vehicle using the Tesla Model S's full-size sedan base.
There is an EPA size class for an SUV and it shares 30 percent of its stuff with the Model S, which is less than half of what it was originally expected to have. The Tesla Factory in Fremont, California is where the Model X and Model S are built. Tesla's Hawthorne, California design studios debuted the prototype on February 9th, 2012. The Model X began shipping to customers in September of that year. A year after going on sale, Tesla's Model X was the ninth most popular plug-in vehicle in the world in 2016.
