Xiaomi’s New 12th-generation Smartphone will Feature a 50-megapixel Rear Camera and Fast 100-watt Wireless Charging

This year’s event, which begins on November 30, will see the unveiling of the successor to the Snapdragon 888. It’s expected that Xiaomi will be among the first to announce an 888-powered phone, just like last year. You can see where this is headed.

There are rumors that Xiaomi 12 will be the first phone to run on the Snapdragon 898 processor. If Digital Chat Station’s report is correct, the vanilla model will only be able to charge at a maximum speed of 100W, rather than the 120W seen on the Mi 10 Ultra and 11T Pro (among other models).

However, the vanilla will be more 11T Pro than Ultra because it lacks a periscope lens and an ultra wide camera. This year’s model will have a 50MP main camera instead of last year’s 108MP sensor, DCS reports.

Despite the large battery, the phone is expected to be sleek and lightweight. The selfie camera will have a smaller punch hole and a smaller screen-to-body ratio on the 12.

We don’t know if plans have changed for the Xiaomi 12 Pro model since DCS previously mentioned a triple 50 MP camera (wide, ultra wide, and tele), but that was in August.
