There is a Good Chance That The Snapdragon 898 Will be Revealed on November 30

It’s safe to assume that there is no official word on the matter at this time. This year’s Qualcomm Tech Summit will be held from November 30 to December 2, 2021, according to a page on the company’s website. “More to come, soon!” and a banner with a boat drawing an infinity symbol in the water are all that’s on display. As of this writing, there is no additional information, no itinerary, and no other details.

In spite of this, speculation about the next-generation Snapdragon 898 has been around for some time now. There are reports that the first phone to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 898 will be the Xiaomi 12 at the end of this year, according to some sources. Because keynotes are traditionally held on the first day of a convention, we can safely assume that Qualcomm will reveal the Snapdragon 898 on November 30 or, failing that, on December 2.

The Snapdragon 898 chipset, also known as the Qualcomm SM8450, has been leaked numerous times, and we now know quite a bit about its specifications. Cortex-X2 is expected to be the most powerful CPU core, clocking at 3.0 GHz, with three Cortex-A710 based midcores clocked at 2.5 GHz, and four Cortex-A510-derived cores clocking at 1.79 GHz.

An Adreno 730 GPU is rumored to be powering the device, which could see a 20 percent boost in performance over the Adreno 660 thanks to architectural improvements and Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. An X65 5G modem with theoretical downlink speed of 10Gbps is expected for connectivity.
