Recent Renders of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Show a Camera with a Water Droplet

LetsGoDigital and Technizo Concept have released a new 3D render of the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, based on leaks from Korean website Super Roader. Unlike the previous two models, this one features a brand-new water drop camera design on the back, which is unique to date. Past designs have included everything from a P-shaped cutout for the camera to an island with two cameras on it.

Ice Universe and Tron, well-versed in Samsung phones, confirmed the new design as accurate. The concept of a water drop camera isn’t new. Initially on LG’s Velvet line, and then on Samsung’s own Galaxy A32, the Galaxy Ultra will be the first phone to feature the new display technology. Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the official name, not Note 22 Ultra, according to LetsGoDigital’s sources.

The S22 Ultra is expected to have a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 40MP selfie camera cutout. Like the S21 Ultra, a 108MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide snapper will be found on the back of the phone. The 12MP 3x telephoto and 12MP 10x periscope lenses are the newest additions. OIS is expected to be a feature for all four shooters.

Samsung’s Exynos 2200 processor and AMD RDNA 2 GPU are expected to power devices sold in Europe, while the Snapdragon 895 is expected to power devices sold in other regions. The 5,000 mAh battery and 45W charging support of the predecessor are expected to be carried over. There are rumors that it will be available in three colors: black, white, and burgundy red.

Tipster Ice Universe also shared a new image, showing the S22 Ultra to weigh 228 grams, making it identical in size to the S21 Ultra, but with a S Pen stylus built in for added functionality.
