OxygenOS 12 for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro is being released again, and presumably fixes all of the problems that have been plaguing the devices
OnePlus began rolling out the OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 upgrade to the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro at the beginning of this month. Several days later, the business yanked the update when the internet was flooded with claims of massive glitches, malfunctions, and other concerns.
Until today, the update was unavailable. The new version is C.39, while the previous one was C.36. So, if you still use C.36 after it was released earlier this month, you should absolutely upgrade to the latest build, which is expected to fix all of your issues.
The new C.39 version may be workable and free of new bugs, but if you didn’t update to C.36, you might want to wait a week or two until that time.
If everything goes as planned—as OnePlus has stated—things should be back to normal now. The company has worked to correct the most common issues users were experiencing, such as problems connecting to mobile data and seeing notifications on the phone. Chrome’s auto-fill and GCam’s temporary lack of access to the Ultra HD 48M camera will be resolved “in the follow-up update schedule,” according to the company’s blog post.
Since this is an incremental release, only a small fraction of units have it today, with a larger rollout expected in the coming days.
