On Twitter, Binance’s CEO Responded to Elon Musk’s Tweets

Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, and Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, are embroiled in an increasingly heated verbal battle.

It was on Tuesday that Tesla CEO Elon Musk sent a tweet to cryptocurrency exchange Zhao after they restricted the withdrawal of dogecoin.

“Well, I don’t intend to be sassy on Twitter… In his tweet he said I am shady,” On Yahoo Finance Live, Zhao, better known as CZ in the crypto community, was asked about the most recent Twitter transaction.

“I am not aggressive by nature, but not submissive or cowardly when it comes to defending our business. I view defending Binance as my job and the crypto industry as my life’s mission. When he says something about that, which is also incorrect, he lacks research,” CZ said, adding that the Doge Developers tweeted about the issue 11 days ago.

On November 11, Binance halted dogecoin withdrawals owing to a network error. When Binance suspended its service on Tuesday, Musk — who has been a longtime advocate for dogecoin — called it “shady.”

Responding on Twitter, CZ explained to Musk and his fans what was going on. “I clarified the issue,” CZ said on Yahoo Finance Live.

The Guardian’s piece regarding the Tesla software error that led to the recall of 12,000 vehicles was also included in CZ’s tweet.

“I am not against him personally,” said CZ referring to Musk. “I don’t take it personally. I feel this is like a bit of a friendly banter and it gives the Twitter community a little bit of entertainment.”
