It’s Said That OIS Will Come to All Samsung Galaxy A Devices Next Year.

Optical image stabilization (OIS) is being offered on the primary cameras of a few of Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A devices, including the A52 and A72. However, things will be different next year.

We’ve heard that OIS is coming to all of the A series camera modules that Samsung plans to release in 2022. It will be a significant change to a popular feature that has only been open to flagship and flagship-killer devices in previous years.

If Samsung is successful, its mid-range models will be able to set themselves apart from Xiaomi with this new feature. The Chinese manufacturer generally wins out on pricing compared to Samsung’s devices, but OIS allows the Korean company to trump the competition in image quality especially in low-light conditions.

OIS is a hugely important feature, but the number of consumers who know what it is and why it’s important are unsure, and many of them would opt for another phone even if it has this feature. It looks like we’ll have to wait another year before we know the answer.

Additionally, it was discovered that one that had OIS is around 15% more expensive, and the cost of adding it to a phone’s bill of materials is around 3%.
