Apple’s Next iPhone 14 will Provide up to 2TB of Storage as an Option

There is still a year before the iPhone 14 series is released, but speculation about the next generation of iPhones has already begun. The latest rumour claims that Apple will double the maximum storage on the iPhones released next year.

This year, Apple increased the maximum storage capacity on the iPhone 13 by half, while the Pro and Pro Max models now come standard with 1TB of storage. Also, if rumours are to be believed, the iPhone 14 series will include 2TB of QLC storage as standard.

If Apple actually intends to offer 2TB storage on the Pro and Pro Max versions, we’ll probably see it, with storage capacity predicted to expand from 512GB to 1TB on other models. The source did not name any specific models.

No one is sure why Apple opted to boost the maximum storage on next year’s iPhones, although new camera functions could be a factor. For example, if you want to record 4K video at 30 frames per second in ProRes format, you’ll need at least 256GB of storage on the latest Pro and Pro Max models. With the 128GB model, you can only save ProRes videos up to 1080p 30 frames per second.

Due to the fact that it was obtained outside of Apple, we advise you to proceed with caution. In addition, the iPhone 14 lineup is still many months away from going on sale, so things may change before then.
